Administrative Assistant Job Description


Job Overview:


Faith Memorial Missionary Baptist Church is seeking a highly organized and professional Administrative Assistant to manage various administrative tasks in a busy church environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and computer skills, as well as the willingness and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.


Required Skills:


• Organization: Manage multiple tasks and maintain order in a dynamic environment.

• Communication: Utilize strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with staff, members, and visitors.

• Computer Proficiency: Utilize office software for word processing, email, databases, and calendar management effectively.

• Discretion: Handle personal and confidential information with professionalism and care.

• Customer Focus: Exhibit a friendly, loving and professional demeanor when interacting with the public.

• Collaboration: Partner effectively with pastors, church staff, and members to achieve church goals.

 

Qualifications:


• A minimum of three years’ experience in an administrative role, ideally within a church or nonprofit setting.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. AI is a plus.

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in the spirit of collaboration.

• High level of professionalism and integrity.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

 

The Administrative Assistant will report to the Pastor and does not have direct supervisory or team leadership responsibilities.The role may occasionally involve coordinating specific events or projects. Must be able to work independently and exercise impeccable judgment.
